Event Details

Alexis Grace is a singer-songwriter and actress from Memphis now based in Los Angeles. She was nationally recognized for her soulful voice on Season 8 of American Idol. Dubbed the “dark horse of the competition” by judge Simon Cowell, this little diva never shied away from big material: Aretha Franklin’s “Never Loved a Man”, Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” and Michael Jackson’s “Dirty Diana.” The daughter of blues bassist Randy Middleton, a fixture in Ann Peebles’ entourage, Alexis grew up steeped in R & B, soul and pop music. Her diverse influences can be heard not only in her 2014 EP Kiddo, but also in her live performances, where she belts her own lively takes on hits such as “Toxic,” and “Let It Go” from Frozen. Alexis recently has been featured in national commercials and onstage at the Hollywood Bowl lending vocal harmonies to sold-out concerts by artists such as Katy Perry, Carrie Underwood, Yolanda Adams, Darius Rucker and Rachel Platten. She is proud to be back in Memphis singing with long-time collaborators Ryan Peel (drums), Neal Bowen (bass) and Claude Hinds (piano.)
